As we begin the new journey we took a totally different approach taking the time to show newbies a run through of what many did. It was helpful as it gave many of the cast members a chance to see how much they retained also it was worth seeing to know what needs to happen in the coming weeks as we freshin up.
We start our journey again with both vets and newbies in this years cast of underground episodes and you’ll be meeting and seeing them all in postings In time. This time around we start a little early with rehearsals and find out how well many have retained the pieces since its been almost a year since last performed. Like a bike the expectations are always to be able to get on and begin to peddle away but we all had to remember the best part is in the refreshing of the lines and positions we put in play from last time around. It was fun reintroducing everyone as well as introducing new members to the ensemble and there are still more members to come. Seeing everyone was a refreshing moment for me as it brought me closer to the understanding as to what my goal is in the accomplishment of the play this time around and that is to truly establish a facility in Philadelphia where this journey can take on its on course for the cast that many actors in philly don’t get a chance to say and that is in — at — ..
The beauty of life is often we partake our dreams and they lead us to bigger pastures. Last week I was in the mist of the meeting of the minds with the talented Donna Griggs and Keith Walker as we discussed business in Philadelphia theater. As it can be said about this many artist here have shown that they are far more then what people see as poets,singers,comedians, and hip hop artist having branched into theater both film and live allowing people to see there is so much more that each has to offer. What takes me even more is how philly seems to be evolving into the new Hollywood and Broadway in its own right. Seeing talents I know doing what they do has been a treat and being part of this mix makes me even feel the future is open for us all.
So I got the chance to now take my next step and start hitting New York with cast members from Underground Episodes and I must say I am anxious as all. Looking forward to the busy moments and meeting people in New York but more then that seeing the cast perform pieces from the play to an NY audience to me is great as they begin a journey outside of our city.
Happy 2015 everyone and as it pushes forward Run Boy Run Production is moving at a pace to keep up with the changes. As you all know the modem ears of RBRPROD are involved in many different fields of arts and entertainment. With members Terrance Jones forming DDG as they assist in reinventing artist in Philadelphia and helping them to get to that next level and Brittany Mckeithan acting in film and Loreal Wynn utilizing her time forming Will2Wynn non profit organization and Tyrone Harrison taking his InFlight to another level beyond visuals of a camera,each member are doing whats necessary to bring 2015 a different element.
As we draw closer to the play, we have picked up new members and practice is going well. Talents are putting their all into not only the words but the development of characters. In this scene Krissy Bogle is going over Movement and believe me her action and presence will be one to grab attention of the audience and that’s what talent is about making words become real before your eyes..

If there is anything that I am learning about theater is that from the beginning g to it’s end it contains a lot if work. I was so excited to see my co-director that I let her take the helm so I can focus on cast members and things they want to focus on like overall character development and giving them the latest news on or progress with the play. Another week done and the positives keep coming…
The beauty of watching the cast is watching them develop chemistry among one another and character with themselves. For many the challenge of becoming a character invokes an understanding of knowing the frustrations and attitude of the character. For the most part, utilizing parts of ones life can be the best motivation like work and how it plays an intricate part to your everyday you can feel the frustration and pains it can cause to push forward into a role..
Saturday was a day of fire as cast members showed that they can bring it for rehearsal. It was a little different as I took a step back and formally introduced them to Britney who is the co director on the set. Although the setup was different because it being in a house instead of an actual hall it did prove to be both helpful as the separation of space gave members two coaches to work with on full scenes as well and the other the development of character. I must say it has been a case of trial and error but they have shown that they are willing to take on the challenge and show the world what talents they have and for me it’s worth the site in growth and obstacle as we prove talent stands strong in everyone.

Last night my cousins came over for a teleconference which was filled with good news. It’s nice when you connect with like minded people that are about lifting each other out the barrel over stepping on and over you. For a business such as entertainment it is believed that most people utilizing the theory to do for self over doing for each other first. Truth is in entertainment there are communities of people that help each other look at Ben Affleck, Kevin Smith, and Matt Damon they used a friendship to help build there careers and with that understand the strength in numbers spirit is simple working towards one goal with others can prove to be better link made on a chain.
